Cross-i-fiction
The cross — hysteria, death, and torment. Can we detach ourselves from that burden of meaning, and simply contemplate it as a composite, double-formed image? Two straight lines placed orthogonally.Then come the historical variations — three lines, shifting angles, the search for “x-shaped” patterns — until, suddenly, every kind of intersecting line becomes a cross.
